Your team shares passwords, and only you can read them.

Logins sit in spreadsheets, on sticky notes or in a chat, and whoever leaves takes them along in their head. GL Pass will be your own password manager on a server in Germany. We run it, and the encryption happens on your team’s devices.

Everything your team needs for its logins.

GL Pass is a complete password manager: encrypted, on every device and built for working as a team.

  • End-to-end encrypted

Every item is encrypted on the device before it reaches the server. Without the master password nobody can read it, not even us.

  • Apps for every device

For Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, for Windows, macOS and Linux, for iPhone and Android. Logins fill in with one click.

  • Sharing in the team

Logins live in collections. You decide who sees which and who may change them.

  • Sign in with your work account

If your company uses Microsoft 365, your team signs in with its work account. Without one, everybody uses a second factor.

  • Backups every hour

We back up your instance every hour on the server and every night to two further locations, and bring back yesterday's state when you ask.

Four steps, and your team works with GL Pass.

  1. 01

    Plan

We talk about who uses GL Pass and whether you sign in with a work account.

  2. 02

    Set up

We set up your instance at an address of its own under gl-pass.net.

  3. 03

    Move in

You bring your passwords over from the browser, a spreadsheet or another password manager.

  4. 04

    Start

Your team installs the apps, signs in and finds the shared logins waiting.

Three reasons for GL Pass.

  • An instance just for you

Your company gets a password manager of its own on a server in Germany, apart from every other customer.

  • You stay in control

Your admins invite people, assign roles and remove access themselves, without a ticket to us.

  • Operations included

We install security updates promptly, ahead of every other update. Monitoring and backups come with it.

Frequently asked questions about GL Pass.

01What is GL Pass?

A password manager for companies, run by GL Digital GmbH on servers in Germany. Every company gets an instance of its own. Your team stores and shares logins in it, and your admins decide who sees what.

02When will GL Pass be available?

We are setting up the first instances now. We will announce the start in our newsletter. If you want to talk before then, book a first call.

03Which software is behind it?

Vaultwarden, an open source server for password managers, which we run unchanged and up to date. You use the official Bitwarden apps for browser, computer and phone with it and enter your instance's address there. GL Pass is a service of GL Digital GmbH and not affiliated with Bitwarden, Inc.

04Can you see my passwords?

No. Every item is encrypted on the device with the master password. On our server it is stored only in encrypted form, and only the people in your team know their master passwords.

05What if somebody forgets their master password?

When we set up your instance, we turn on account recovery for your admins. They give the person a new master password, and the items stay.
